in your bag:  I have a slight obsession with lip products and fun pens. I carry a wristlet so 3 tubes of lip stuff and some Sharpie pens take up a good bit of space. Who needs room for money or other stuff in your bag when you’ve got lipsmackers?

something we don’t know about you:  this was a tough one. I had thought about posting something related to my height because most of my instagramming friends don’t know me in real life and have no idea just how short I am but I decided to reveal something I love. the combination of chocolate and caramel is absolute sweet perfection so Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food (chocolate ice cream, caramel & marshmallow swirl with dark chocolate fishies) is definitely a guilty pleasure

An impromptu game night and a glass of Greek wine. It tasted like pinesol – I’m not even exaggerating. But we drank it anyway and survived. Barely.

I think part of the reason I love photography is that it puts me behind the lens instead of in front of it. This year I’m going to step out of my comfort zone at least once a month for a selfy. It’s awkward, uncomfortable and makes me cringe but I’m really trying to be open to new experiences so here goes… (and I purposely didn’t take photos of anything else today so I would be forced to use one of me. bleh)

As I was pulling out of the neighborhood this morning, I could see an amazingly pink and purple sky through the trees. Before getting on the highway, I got my camera all set so I could take a snapshot out the window. I knew of a couple of open areas along the drive but in the 5 minutes it took to get there, the striking colors had all but disappeared. I was bummed but at least the clouds were still interesting. And there’s the faintest hint of pink here & there.

daily shoot #ds223: Today’s color is yellow. Find something that’s yellow in color and make a photograph of it

Went to Jesica’s to watch the USA v. Ghana soccer match (*defeated sigh*). Decided we needed a little cheering up so Monopoly came to the rescue (well, truth be told, monopoly, a smörgåsbord of junk food and a few beers).

And no matter what she says, I won the first game by a mile.

* playing with giants *

For just a round of Uno, we were able to experience what it would be like to be giants. My sister found these mini Uno cards for the kids and we couldn’t resist playing a hand. It was hilarious. All we needed next was to break out the mini bottles of liquor and our delusion would be complete. We can dream big, can’t we?
