So I have this dessert that I used to make all the time but it’s been quite a few years. It came up in conversation a couple weeks ago and I knew I needed to make it for girls night last week. It’s super quick, super easy, and most of all it’s super yummy.
Guess I went the literal route with Sweet Shot Tuesday this time around, huh?!
And here’s the recipe if you want a quick dessert that will knock your socks off:
the fluff
* cool whip – 16 oz. (can be lite but stay away from the fat-free – if you’re gonna eat this you might as well enjoy it)
* chips ahoy cookies – 1 pkg (yes, the original crunchy kind)
* amaretto liqueur – approx 3/4 c.
put amaretto in a mug or cup wide enough to dip a cookie in. quickly dunk each cookie in the amaretto. (when i say quickly, i mean don’t let it linger in there at all even though you want to – in and out) then line the bottom of a bowl with a layer of cookies. cover with a layer of cool whip then another layer of cookies. keep going until you’ve filled the bowl and end with a layer of cool whip. i crumble a cookie up (non-amaretto) and sprinkle on the top. you’ll have amaretto and some cookies left over – go ahead and dunk a couple and scrape the last of the cool whip out of the container. you deserve it. you worked so hard. 😉
How bad is it that this recipe is making my mouth water at 8:30 in the morning? I’m so going to try this! Your cookies look like they’re glistening – beautiful shot!
Yum! I will be making this soon. Great perspective here.
Fat free Cool whip IS pretty gross… Ha!
8:55 a.m. and mouth watering!
Great pictures. This looks so yummy! I have had a Nikon D50 and just upgraded to the Nikon D7000…it’s taking some getting used to, but I love it. I too have a 50mm f/1.8 and love it. the new camera came with an 18-200 and I am really enjoying that to. I also have a 70-300 that I always use when shooting my girls soccer games. I haven’t tried the 200mm at a game yet so I’m curious to see how it works. Then I have the 18-70mm lens which I’ll sell with my old body. I love taking pictures of my family first and foremost but also of nature and just stuff all around (C: I’ve enjoyed your pictures.
