2013:52-02 {homework can be fun}

Homework. Just the word sends shudders down my spine. I’d gladly go back and get a Masters in whatever if I just didn’t have to do homework and take exams. Don’t get me wrong, I love learning. I just don’t like the pressure of a deadline. Now if I could tackle homework with an attitude like this, I’d be all over it.

homework can be fun

This is the 6 yr old daughter of a dear friend in our small group Bible study. We meet every other Thursday so this little munchkin gets to do her homework while we all catch up on life. I know she’d rather be hanging out with us or watching My Little Pony but she gets her work done even so. And with a grin. How fun is that?!

family fun {i heart faces}

Love my niece’s disgusted expression at the thought of her parents kissing. And my sweet nephew is oblivious to it all 🙂

k-i-s-s-i-n-g... ew, gross

There are plenty of unique and awesome family images for this week’s challenge. Go check it out!

2012: 011-012/365 {i don’t think we’re in kansas anymore}

Shop Cat was getting thin for a while there. Apparently his diet of dry food and the random rodent just weren’t cutting it. We started feeding him canned food so he’s gotten rather plump over the past few months. He used to fit in the boss’ inbox quite comfortably.
Now… not so much. But he’s still quite adorable, don’t ya think?

Today the weather was a mess. It’s been raining for days and then the wind moved in. I’m not just talking typical Winnie-the-Pooh-and-the-blustery-day kind of wind. It was the oh-my-toto-I-don’t-think-we’re-in-Kansas-anymore kind. I nearly got knocked over walking out of the office. The clouds were moving crazy fast so I snapped a quick photo before the torrential downpour began (again).
