2013:52-03 waiting for the stage… er, um… gym floor

 waiting to jump

My oldest niece is part of her school’s jump rope team. Here she waiting to perform at halftime for a local high school basketball game. Little does she know I snapped her photo AND her team coach gave her the old bunny ears. It was fun watching her in action. She’s quite the jumper.

2013:52-02 {homework can be fun}

Homework. Just the word sends shudders down my spine. I’d gladly go back and get a Masters in whatever if I just didn’t have to do homework and take exams. Don’t get me wrong, I love learning. I just don’t like the pressure of a deadline. Now if I could tackle homework with an attitude like this, I’d be all over it.

homework can be fun

This is the 6 yr old daughter of a dear friend in our small group Bible study. We meet every other Thursday so this little munchkin gets to do her homework while we all catch up on life. I know she’d rather be hanging out with us or watching My Little Pony but she gets her work done even so. And with a grin. How fun is that?!

best of 2011 {i heart faces}

It was rather difficult choosing a photo for this week’s i heart faces challenge. I mean, with cute nieces & nephews like mine I have tons of adorable face photos to choose from. I debated on whether or not to post this one just because it cracks me up every time I see it. seriously. But I opted for the image of this niece and nephew. She has absolutely gorgeous blue eyes and I happened to catch her in a natural smile instead of the cheesy grin she usually flashes at me 🙂
